Het Nederlandse instituut voor ruimte-onderzoek (SRON) en het Kapteyn Instituut organiseren een gratis toegankelijke openbare Ruimtedag in DOT Live Planetarium. Sprekers schilderen het succes en de problemen van de NL betrokkenheid bij spectaculaire ruimtemissies in het verleden (ANS Astronomische Nederlandse Satelliet, de Herschel Space Observatory), vandaag (de James Webb Space Telescope) en de nabije toekomst "donkere materie missie": de Euclid-satelliet. De korte film " Floating in heaven" gecomponeerd door Brian May (Queen) en Graham Gouldman (10cc) ter gelegenheid van de lancering van de James Webb-telescoop wordt vertoond.

Speakers paint the success and troubles of the NL involvement in glamorous Space missions in the past (ANS Astronomische Nederlandse Satellite, the Herschel Space Observatory), today (the James Webb Space Telescope) and the near future "dark matter mission": the Euclid satellite. The short movie " Floating in heaven" composed by Brian May (Queen) and Graham Gouldman (10cc) at the occasion of the launch of the James Webb telescope will be screened.
